More Ice Fishing

Ice Fishing in Henderson Harbor
Nate and I recently went up to his Uncle Mark's camp in Northern NY and did some ice fishing with him and his daughter Sara. We love going up there, it's always such a fun time. Yukon loves going up there too cause Mark's dog, Zeke is Yukon's BEST friend and they love running around outside exploring together. We're always so appreciative that we have a nice place to go and stay for a quick weekend getaway. Thanks Mark! Such a cute picture.....

Yukon's so happy to be up at camp.... look at that smile! Mark and his first fish! All the freezing paid off....

I was happy when I got my first fish of the day...a Perch (they are very yummy by the way...nicknamed "poor mans shrimp")

One of our tip-up flags went off and Nate started working on pulling the fish in and he says, "Oh my gosh it's huge" So of course I panic and start getting all excited! I was yelling at everyone to bring "stuff" over to help assist Nate. I guess I must have thought it was the size of a shark? Ha Ha

Sara is running back to Nate with the scooper so that he can get the floating ice out of the water and have a better view of the fish.

All the running around, yelling and excitement paid off! It's a 38 inch Northern Pike...way to go Nate!!

Yukon is totally inspecting the fish out... he's wondering what his Daddy just pulled out of the water! He is so funny.....

Sara with her BIG catch... another perch!

Here are Sara and Zeke trying to warm up in the hut....

I think Yukon is ready for a nap.....

After a full day of ice fishing, everyone was very tired. We all went to bed at 8pm! What a great time we had....

Ice Fishing Begins....

ICE FISHING ONEIDA LAKE

Our friend John came to visit a few weekends ago from Albany so Nate, John and I decided to go out for our first official Ice Fishing Weekend....We were pretty successful. We caught a total of around 10 fish, but we only kept 5 and we were able to have a really yummy dinner made by my chef of a husband...It was so good! We made "fish balls" aka Hush Puppies. Here I am with one of my fish that I caught, it was a nice Large Mouth Bass. I hate touching the fish, they seriously scare me, but I have been told by some of the guys that I fish with that I have to "Man Up" so i usually go home with fishy smelling gloves...ha ha ha.

Nate's working on getting a fish out of the water, I am just standing there with the gaft just in case it's a "BIG" one! LOL...

We were all so excited when Nate finally pulled this fish out...he worked hard to get this guy out. It's a Northern Pike! This one measured out to be about 30 inches. We had a pretty successful day on Oneida Lake! John, thanks for coming to visit, we had a great time.

For Christmas everyone came to our house! My mom, sister, brother in law, nephew and little brother Jake came in from Utah. My brother Mike that now lives with my dad in Syracuse came over too....It was tons of fun and boy was it crowded... I kept thinking to myself, "boy we need a bigger house" but it was a blast. We stayed up playing Sequence, watching movies, eating tons of food and we even went bowling! I appreciate all of my family coming to see us and for all of the awesome memories that we had together. I love you so much!!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon Movie

My friend Tiffany and I gettting ready for our "Girls night out" We went to dinner and then out to go see the midnight showing of New Moon on November 19th! We are both TEAM EDWARD by the way! Ha Ha....Tiff and I anticipated this movie coming out for months so we needed to go to the midnight showing, we couldn't wait that extra 12 hours. I was able to take the next day off from work, but poor Tiff had to work the next day :(
Tiff is so cute. She got me this for my birthday!! I just love it. It has the characters from Twilight all over it, but mostly pics of Edward and Bella. She also got me a crown to wear that night for the movie. It has Bella, Edward and Jacob all on it. Of course I had to have Edward and Bella in the front....

This was right before we went into the theater.... I love the poster,(I have it hanging in my office at work) so I just had to get my picture with it... People were staring of course..LOL! They were probably wondering who this crazed fan was........

We were able to get into the movie theater at about 9pm so we had a lot of waiting to do.... but that was ok we didn't mind. There were lots of people at the mall waiting just like us, we couldn't believe it. There are actually other people out there that are as obsessed as we are! We were let in to the very first theater that opened up for the midnight showing, we felt so lucky. Tiff and I had great seats. The movie was out of this world. I felt that it followed the book very closely and I was very impressed with the graphics/animation for the warewolves. I can't wait to go see it again. If you haven't seen the movies or read the books, I highly recommend it :-)

My Birthday!

Nate and I went out the weekend before my birthday and had many laughs. For anyone that knows Nate they know he doesn't like his picture taken, so I had to beg him for this "birthday" photo of the two of us...... so cute. But the best ever were my presents from him! First, he got me a new phone & I love it. Second, which is my favorite, he got us tickets to go see the musical Wicked in January. I love musicals and now I get to finally go see one... thanks babe, I love you tons. Thanks for such a great birthday.

The night before my "actual" birthday, Nate and I went out for drinks and dinner with my dad and Lynne. We had lots of fun and there were tons of laughs. We ate at Texas Roadhouse for dinner, they have the most amazing dinner rolls! My big mouth ended me up on a saddle in the restaurant with the staff singing to me.... HA HA!

Then all of my awesome co-workers had a cake and cards for me... They are so cute. And of course they got me wine.... oh how they know what I like :)

Trip to Albany

This past weekend Nate, Yukon and I went to Albany to visit our friend John and his dog Roxy. He just bought a cute new house with lake rights, so we went there to check out the new place and to do some fishing. It was such a beautiful weekend, we had awesome fall weather!! Too bad we didn't catch any fish, but we still had a fun time on the lake. I took some pictures of us on the lake in the canoes....it's a new NY state law that you have to wear a life jacket when you're in a small boat. It's annoying, but much safer. Yukon and Roxy had so much fun together. They played outside all day and by the end of the night they were exhausted.... they are so cute....they're sleeping in eachother's beds. HA HA

He was not happy having to wear that life jacket the whole time.

Our friend John in his canoe...

We are so appreciative to our friend John for letting us stay... we had a great weekend! Thanks John!

Happy Birthday Nathan James!!

Happy Birthday Love!!

I love this picture of us. It was at Nate's Senior Ball when he was just 17 and I was 16. We have been through a lot in the past 13 years....it's been a roller coaster ride. For those of you that really know "us" you know what I am talking about. I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful, patient man in my life....I don't know where I would be without him.

Meeting him when I was 15 years old in our highschool Spanish class, was a true blessing from God. Now that I look back on my life....(well the 27 years that I have been around) I can't believe that I "made it" with out Nate. Moving to Utah was one of the hardest things I ever had to do....I had to leave Nate behind. It was utterly heart wrenching. Although I did make it out there, it always felt like something was missing. I made wonderful girlfriends out there that I still talk to today, but there was something still missing. After all that we "went through" the 6 years we were away from eachother, we found one another again. I am so blessed by God to have Nate in my life. I love him with all of my heart and soul...I thank him for being so wonderful to me. I have truly found my soul mate, my best friend and I am having the time of my life. That being said...Babe I wish you the Happiest Birthday in the whole wide world. I love you more and more each day. Thank you for being so wonderful.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Baby!!!

Nate and I have been married for one year...I can't believe it. Time flys by when you're having fun!! :-)

I married the most amazing man that I have ever met and I can't picture life with out him. He is my everything.....he is what makes me tick. My favorite moments are when we are home together with "the kids" and we cuddle while watching a movie or tv. Not only is he my husband, but he's my best friend. He is my biggest supporter in everything, he has showed me that I can do anything if I just put my mind to it. I love the way he loves me..... and how he makes me feel so beautiful when I am rolling out of bed with no make-up on & my hair a mess...now that is TRUE love...LOL! I am so happy that I have found my soulmate...and I look forward to many, many more years together. I love you Nathan James.

Last weekend we went to The Turningstone Casino in Verona, NY to celebrate our anniversary. We had such an amazing time there. We had wonderful food and we went out to the nightclub, Lava that they have at the casino....it was a blast! Whoever knows me, knows that I love to dance and I had so much fun getting dressed up & going out with my man...... Here are a couple of pictures.....

Salmon Fishing Derby

Over the past few weekends Nate and I have been fishing in a salmon tournament on Lake Ontario. We would have to get up wicked early, but it was well worth it. I love being out on the lake....just as long as it's not rough out. I do not like feeling sea sick! UGH..... Here are a few pictures of us with our fish. We ended up smoking most of the meat, but we did have some really yummy salmon filets over at our friend Seth and Renee's house....it was delicious.
